Bengkapara is a small village located in Dalu region of West Garo Hills District of Meghalaya. It has a population of 229 people consisting 39 households. The village is mostly comprise of Garo tribes and few other minority tribes. The livelihood activities of the people are mostly small intensive farming.
The Community Hall at Bengkapara was constructed under SCA/ BADP 2014-15. The community hall was constructed at the heart of the village where the villagers will be able to gather for group activities, social support, public information and other purposes. The newly constructed community hall will add value to the village infrastructure where they will be able reap benefit for their future endeavour on social gatherings.
Name of the Scheme: Construction of Pringprang English School at Jarangkona
Amount Sanctioned: Rs. 5.00 lacs
Years of Schemes: SCA (BADP) 2014-15.
The construction of Pringprang English School at Jarangkona is implemented under SCA (BADP) 2014-15 with an amount of Rs. 5.00 lakhs. There are 200 students in this school. The school cannot accommodate more students due to the lack of building facilities. In this regards, the new building has been proposed under SCA BADP during the year 2014-15. After providing this building, they can extend enrollments upto 260 students.
Name of the Scheme: Construction of Protection dam cum MIP at Pukhasindigre

Pukasindigre village is about 15km from the international indo Bangladesh border and 255 nos of population. This (Construction of Protection Dam cum MIP at Pukasindigre) project was sanctioned under SCA BADP 2014-15. The Project intervention has improved the livelihood of the rural poor of this village. The villages at present cultivates thrice in a year before they use to cultivate once throughout the year due to the shortage of water supply in winter season. They could now supply the water to their farm even during the dry season. 35 nos of farmers are depending on this project.
Name of the Scheme: Jeepable RCC bridge over Mesi stream at Rengrampara(Dalu)
Amount Sanctioned: Rs. 10.00 lacs
Years of Schemes: SCA (BADP) 2014-15.
Rengrampara is a small village located in Dalu region of West Garo Hills District of Meghalaya. It has a population of 310 people consisting 56 households. The village is mostly comprise of Garo tribes and few other minority tribes. The livelihood activities of the people are mostly small intensive farming.
The above said project completed under the Border Areas Development under SCA/ BADP has been a boon to the people of Rengrampara Village since it connects the village to the outside communities. It has become a blessing to the school going children and to the traders and farmers for transport of goods. The bridge has served a great deal to the people in tackling their obstacles which they faced earlier before the bridge was constructed.
