Nongbareh rim is a remote village located on the South Western fringes of the Border Block. It is situated at 49kms from the District HQ. It comprises of 136 households with a population of 752. The land for construction of the playground was gifted by the Dorbar Shnong (Village Council) to the Nongbareh rim youth social welfare & cultural club who undertook the work for constructing the playground. The hill slope was excavated by JCB machine to make way for formation of a decent sized playground suitable for playing football and other outdoor games. This playground was sanctioned for an amount of ₹ 5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs) only under SCA (BADP) for the year 2014-15.
Name of the Scheme: Extension & improvement of Playground at Nongbareh Lyntiar Village.

The extension and improvement of playground at Nongbareh Lyntiar village was sanctioned by the Border Areas Development Department at an estimated amount of Rs. 5.00 (L) under SCA (BADP) for the year 2014-15. The already existing playground which is small in size has been converted into a standard football ground measuring 10 x 70 square metres Earth cutting, drilling, blasting, filling and leveling has been done for extension and improvement of this playground. The playground is a very important asset of the village because it is utilized not only for sports activities but also for holding of public meetings, gatherings, programmes etc in the village.
Name of the Scheme: Construction of Pdenshakhap Secondary School building at Pdengshakhap.
Sanctioned: Rs. 7.00 lacs.

Pdengshakhap village is a big village having a population of 1472 and 257 households. It is situated on the South eastern side of the Border Block at a distance of 18kms away from the Sub divisional HQ at Amlarem and at 6kms crow fly distance from the International boundary with Bangladesh.
Pdengshakhap Secondary School is the only Secondary School in the village and it caters not only to this village but also to the smaller adjoining villages in the area. The Construction of the RCC Building comprising of two spacious class rooms has really benefitted the school.
It is also a blessing to the poor villages who cannot afford to send their children to study outside of their village.
The building grant was sanctioned under SCA (BADP) for the year 2014-15 at an estimated amount of Rs. 7.00 (L).
Name of the Scheme: Completion of School Library by the ASDC at Sohkha Mission Village.

The All Sohkha Development Committee (ASDC) a Conglomerate body of all the adjoining villages of Sohkha approached the BAD Department To Sanction for completion of the school library of the sohkha secondary & higher secondary school. The school library is located on the premises of the school compound at Sohkha Mission village. The building grant was sanctioned for an amount of Rs. 5.00 (L) under SCA (BADP) for the year 2014-15. The words for the completion of the building was taken up sppedily and it was completed satisfactorily. The library was officially inaugurated on the 24th April, 2015 by the dignities from the government which was well attended by the people from all walks of life.
Name of the Scheme: Extension of hostel building for Zion Modern School at Sohkha Shnong Village.
Sanctioned: Rs. 5.00 lacs.

Zion Modern School at Sohkha Shnong village is one such school in the rural area which is imparting education in English medium and is having hostel facilities. Therefore, there is a growing demands from the villagers to get their words enrolled in this school so as to avail these facilities. As the hostel building is insufficient to provide boarding for the increasing number of students the SMC approached the Border Areas Development Department for extension of the hostel building. Hence, during the year 2014-15 sanction Rupees Five Lakhs only SCA (BADP) was made for providing of two rooms which are extended on the first floor of the existing building. Now with the completion of the new hostel building the SMC hopes to increase the number of hostellers from 45 to 80. This will definitely benefit the people of this Sub- Division.
Name of the Scheme: Construction of Public Latrine at Amlarem Village.

Amlarem village is the HQ of Amlarem Sub Division. This village is centrally located and all major government offices at the Block and Sub-Divisional level are situated here. Also, all the roads has to criss-cross through Amlarem for going to different divertions in the Sub-Division. Hence, Amlarem village by virtue of the above is a major junction for which public utilities like toilets/latrines etc. are very much required. A social organization is Amlarem called the Raid Khyndai Kur Pantadong after obtaining the permission from the O/o the SDO (Civil) Amlarem and the NOC from the O/o the Asst. E.E. PWD (Border Roads) Amlarem for the construction of the public latrines approached the BAD Department for the Sanction whereby looking into this very important aspect of health & sanitation we have able to earmark an amount of ₹ 5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs) only for the construction of four units of toilets. The toilets are use and pay toilets and they will be run and maintained by the Raid Khyndai Kur Pantadong. The toilets are sanctioned under SCA (BADP) 2014-15.
Name of the Scheme: Construction of Public toilets/latrines at Darrang village.

Darrang village nestled on the hill slopes is located on the banks of the Umngot River. It is situated at approximately 41kms from the District HQ and 3kms crow-fly distance from the International Border with Bangladesh. Darrang village has a population of 1234 and 210 households. The Executive Committee of Darrang Dorbar Shnong (Village Council) felt the need to have public latrines/toilets and it was decided to at first construct them at two places viz. taxi station which is at the bottom of the village and pathway leading to graveyard which is at the top of the village. Altogether four units of toilets, septic tanks, soak pits, water supply etc. were constructed. These toilets are to be run as use & pay toilets and shall be maintained by the village committee. The grant was sanctioned for ₹ 5,00,000/- under SCA (BADP) 2014-15.
