This road links the village main road to the cemetery of the village; before the construction of this MBT road, the condition was bad as it was very muddy especially during the rainy season but as it is now it has helped the village in a great way
Name of the Scheme: Construction of RCC footbridge for Sympnar at Kongwang village.
Sanctioned: Rs. 5.00 lacs.

This footbridge has helped the locals in their daily commute between Darrang and Kongwang village over the Sympnar river; before the construction of this footbridge the locals used bamboo to build a footbridge across the river which is required to be replaced every year but with the construction of this footbridge it has helped the locals in a great way.
Name of the Scheme: Construction of public toilets in Tourist spot at Shnongpdeng village
Sanctioned: Rs. 5.00 lacs.

This toilet is right at the entry to Shnongpdeng village, hence it is easier for tourists when they arrive at the village as they don’t have to search for rest rooms as they’ve done before.
Name of the Scheme: Construction of footpath near Boating Point in AOR of BOP Sawki of 30 BN BSF under SHQ BSF Jowai.
Sanctioned: Rs. 15.170 lacs.

The foothpath also acts as a retaining wall for the BSF point on the international border with Bangladesh, whenever there is heavy rain, the force of the water current from the Umngot rivers gradually erodes the embankment (upon which is a BSF guard point) which over the years have started to weaken. Thus, this retaining wall-cum-foothpath has prevented the gradual leaching of soil from the embankment.
