The construction of the above footbridge at Amkwiang river in Pantbuh has benefitted the people of the village who are pre-dominantly farmers by profession. In the absence of a permanent structure prior to the Construction of the footbridge, the people has to face and endure hardship and trouble in crossing over to the land across the Amkwiang river for their agricultural cultivation for grazing of their cattle and herds especially during the rainy season whereby the waters of the river swells up considerably. However with the construction of the footbridge this problem of crossing the Amkwiang at all times has been removed.

The above courtyard constructed at L.P. School, Amlanai has really created a dent impression on the overall outlook of the School on one hand while on the other hand it has benefitted the students of the school a great deal. The concrete cemented courtyard which is used for assembling the children before the start of classes in the morning is also utilized for playing, holding of functions and for other purposes of the school.

The construction of the above bathing-cum-washing shed has provided the people of Kharkhana and nearby villages using the natural spring at Ampsai with a decent and proper structure for bathing, washing clothes and other related purposes.
Name of Scheme : Construction of Retaining Wall on approach road
to L. P. School, Hingaria

The above retaining wall constructed on the approach road to L.P. School Hingaria has helped to arrest the soil erosion which has taken place and thereby disrupting the pedestrian particularly the school children using the route. The retaining wall has therefore provided convenience to all concerned in this regard.

The drainage system at Darrang, prior to the construction of the above concrete cemented drainage, was in a deplorable a pathetic condition whereby it was not only a nuisance and an eyesore but it was really creating an unhygienic and unhealthy living condition for the people of Darrang village with the intermittent blockage and accumulation of garbage in the whole drainage system. The construction of the concrete cemented drainage has helped a great deal in dealing with the said problem of accumulation of dirt and garbage and has thus created a clean and hygiene environment in the village.

river at Amladkhur

The construction of the above footbridge over at Amsto river at Amladkhur has proved to be a blessing to the people of Amladkhur and Thangbuli villages to a great extent and has also realised the long cherished dream of the villagers. This footbridge is especially significant in view of the fact that the fertile land across the Amsto river is used by the people of the 2 villages for cultivation of their agricultural/horticultural products viz. Betelnut, Betel leaves, broomstick, oranges, pepper, etc. and also for grazing of their cattle & herds. However in the absence of a permanent footbridge, in order to cross over to the other side, the villagers had to construct temporary structures using wooden lags & planks which usually gets washed away during the rainy season when the water swells up considerably. This perenial problem in this been radicated with the construction of the above permanent RCC Footbridge.

at Zion Modern School, Sohkha Shnong

The Septic tank latrine at Zion Modern School, Sohkha Shnong, which was used as a School toilet has really provided the students and teachers of the school with a decent & proper structure whereby initially, in the absence of a permanent & proper structure the school has to make use of a Temporary shed which was unhygienic & unhealthy.

Secondary School Shkentalang was earlier accomodated in a dilapidated old building whereby it was incapacitated by a storm after which the school was then held in the village's Community Hall. This event has seriously effected the students because of the lack of a good building of its own. Hence, the above construction of the building has really came as a blessing to the students and teachers of the said school, as though the school building, they have been provided with the infrastructure to create the right and conducive atmosphere to teaching and learning.

The soil erosion taking place on one side has really affected the condition of the playground and therefore hampering the youths using it. However this problem was arrested with the construction of the retaining wall as shown above and thus improved the condition of the ground.

Suchen LP School building was earlier accommodated in a temporary thatched structure which was very congested and inconvenient for the students and the teachers alike. The construction of the above school building has therefore come as a big help in this regard whereby a better atmosphere for imparting education and learning has been created through the new structure.

Amkshar, Kudengrim

This footbridge which connects many villages viz. Kudengrim, Nongbareh, Mawngap , etc. and many others was in a dilapidated and pathetic condition. The condition of the footbridge was such that it was endangering the lives of people using it. "This footbridge was in a seriously pathetic condition to the extent that it poses a threat to the people using it. Therefore, from our own meagre resources, we have been repairing the footbridge temporarily almost every week since this footbridge is on the main route to Dawki market whereby we have to carry our agricultural products and other goods for selling them. This footbridge which was constructed way back has been neglected and is in desperate need of a major repair otherwise it will collapse, thereby causing great difficulty to all of us, from these many villages" quipped Shri H Pohtam, Headman of Kudengrim village, prior to the repairing of the footbridge. The major repair of the Amkshar footbridge undertaken by the department to meet this urgent need has thus provided a great sense of relief and convenience to the people of the above mentioned villages. The major repairing includes the overall components of the footbridge.

The construction of the above footbridge over Amsympit river at Suchen Lumiarain which replaced the old dilapidated footbridge has really benefitted the people of the village. Over the years they had to put up with the danger of crossing over to the other side using the old footbridge for fetching water from a nearby spring, going to the village graveyard and for other purposes. The construction of the footbridge has thus ensured safe connectivity to the people crossing the Amsympit river.
