Mawlynnong village, renowned as being one of the cleanest village in Asia is located at an aerial distance of about 3 (Three) Kms from the international border with Bangladesh. It has a population of 414 with 77 Nos. of house hold as per the 2011 Census. Because of its scenic geographical location and cleanliness, the village attracts tourist from different parts of the country and the world.
The Tourist information center which was constructed under SCA(BADP) 2018-19 adjacent to the parking lot which was also constructed under SCA (BADP) 2015-16, provide the visitors with information on areas of attraction in and around the vicinity, lodging and other aspects related to tourism. The Tourist information center also has the facility of a rest room for tourists.

Nongkyndah village situated about 3 (Three) Km from the international border with Bangladesh has a population of 197 with 35 Nos. of house hold as per the 2011 Census. The Rev. Wolley Roy Mem. L.P. School is the only School in the village. People living here are mostly farmers and their main agricultural products includes broom stick, beetle nut, beetle leaf, Tezpata, etc. Under SCA(BADP) 2018-19, the fencing of Rev.Wolley Roy Mem. L.P. school was constructed. The fencing not only gives the school protection in terms of trespassing by cattles and other elements but it has also given the school a proper enclosed outlook.

Kongwang village situated close to the international border with Bangladesh has a population of 597 with 92 Nos. of house hold as per the 2011 Census. The extension of the St. Peter RCLP School building which was sanctioned from the District Schemes of the Border Areas Department under SCA(BADP) 2018-19 has benefitted the school immensely in terms of space with a better infrastructure.
