Namchapara lies in the District of South Garo Hills District of Meghalaya under Baghmara Constituency. It is located within the crow fly radius of 0.2 kilometer from the International border. Namchapara has a total strength of about 832 population with 105 households. The main livelihood activities of the people are farming, cash crop plantation and livestock farming.
The construction of sanitary lavatory is implemented under the Border Areas Development Programme 2018-19. The lavatory is constructed at the village school compound as it lies in the midst of Namchapara village. The villagers and the school authorities are very thankful to the Border Areas Department for the asset created as it is fundamental for the children’ hygiene and the people of Namchapara village.
Name of the Scheme: Construction of RCC Bridge over Dindini stream at Gasuapara
Sanctioned: Rs. 10.00 lacs.

Gasuapara lies in the District of South Garo Hills District of Meghalaya under Baghmara Constituency. It is located within the crow fly radius of 0.5 to 1 kilometer from the International border. Gasuapara has a total strength of about 1788 population with 298 households. The main livelihood activities of the people are farming, cash crop plantation and livestock farming.
The construction of RCC bridge over Dindini stream was implemented under the Border Areas Development Programme 2018-19. The project has a span of 3 meters wide and 7 meters length. The constructed bridge at Gasuapara connects several other villages viz Rongsepgre, Rongsigre, Rongsangre, Babupara, Dindinagre, Minasakgre and Meka Adu. The construction of RCC bridge has ease the daily commuters, local farmers to transport their agricultural products, village vendors, Village elders and mostly school goers. The newly constructed bridge not only been helping the immediate village people but also the people from the adjoining villages who also use the same route for their daily activities.
