Maweit village is about 45km from Nongstoin and Nongumbi is a village nearby Maweit. During the past there is no bridge which connected Maweit to Nongumbi  to cross over Riangkhon stream so it is very difficult for the people to come across between these two villages. During the year 2016-17, Rcc Footbridge over this stream was sanctioned from Border Areas Department for an amount of Rs 6,74,750/- (Rupees Six Lakh Seventy four Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty) only and this will be the great boon to the people of these two villages.

Name of the Scheme:Repair of extension of Presbyterian Secondary School, Maweit

Amount Sanctioned: Rs. 2,77,500/-

Years of Schemes: SCA (BADP) 2016-17

Maweit is about 45km from Nongstoin. The old building of this school is in a very bad shape before especially during the rainy season. The Managing   Committee approached the Department for repairing of extension of the School building. So, in the year 2016-17, the Border Areas Department sanctioned for an amount of Rs. 2,77,500/-(Rupees Two Lakh Seventy Seven Thousand Five Hundred )only for repairing of this school.

Name of the Scheme: Construction  of VIP Gallery including dressing room  for Mawmarin Playground.

Amount Sanctioned: Rs. 5.00 Lacs

Years of Schemes: SCA(BADP)2016-17.

Mawmarin village is about 46km from Nongstoin. The Playground in this village was sanctioned by Border Areas Department in the previous years. In order to make the playground fully completed , VIP Gallery including dressing room was also sanctioned from Border Areas Department for an amount of Rs 5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakh ) only in the year 2016-17. The village as a whole is very grateful to the Department for sanctioned this scheme. This   will help the youth to uplift the sport activities in this village and the areas around it.
