This Community Utility Centre with 2 halls and a room at Garobadha is a multipurpose building that provides space and facilities for a range of local activities like venue for holding regular meetings, cultural related programmes, public functions, awareness programmes etc. The CUC also serves as an ideal venue for the Government Departments and Agencies to organise different programmes and trainings to improve the livelihood prospects of the people and to encourage people productively bringing high hope and aspiration for fruitful and creative environment and for promoting health and well being, sustainable communities and community cohesion for a better society.

Garobadha is located about 20 kms away from the District Headquarter Ampati.The village is known to be affected by flood during monsoon.The flood level goes as high as 7 feet from the ground level. As its a flood prone area,the people living here and the adjoining areas have to face many problems during the time of flood. In the past,many people have lost their houses and properties due to flush flood.There were times when lost of lives were also reported. The most affected villages are Garobadha, Mukdangra, Rangatari, Balalgre, Asinagre and Sangkarigre. The recently constructed high rise building has benefitted the people in many ways,it acts as a safe place for shelter for loads of homeless people, it also serves as a place where food, clothes and water can be stocked for the victims during flood so as to supply the items to the flood affected area. Further,this building not just acts as a relief camp during flood but also provide facilities for social, educational and recreational activities for all ages.

Kasbanagar U.P School is located at Gandhipara village under South West Garo Hills District. The school was established in the year of 1964. It has about 500 students. The school is one of the oldest schools in the area.The students in the school comprises of children from the villages of Tangabari, Putimari, Gandhipara Garo, Koch and Hajong, Boraigipara, Katholbari, Rangatari and Sonamite. The renovation of the school was necessary as the condition of the school building was deteriorating and students and the teachers faced loads of problems especially during peak monsoon and the only solution was to get it renovated so as to create a suitable learning place with a good infrastructure. As a result of the step taken by the Government, the students and the teachers can now make use of the building with much ease and comfort.
Name of the Scheme: Erosion protection at Nirghini on the banks of Dilni River

Nirghini,having a population of 742 numbers and 166 households is located under Betasing Block being flanked by Dilni river. Many Government and public properties like the Multi Facility Centre, Play field and Nirghini Park are located adjacent to Dilni River. The flow of the river often increases during rainy season which result in frequent erosion of soil. So the erosion protection wall on the banks of Dilni river was constructed with a purpose of preventing and controlling soil erosion and further destruction. After the construction of the wall,the project has protected many properties of the village as well as the paddy fields which is one of the sources of living for the villagers.
