Name of the Scheme: Construction of School building for Jarain L.P School by Seng Pynryumlang ki Hyntea at Jarain village

The old school an Assam type building was functioning from the premises of the U.P and Secondary school compound. Besides holding classes for the L.P section, classes for Pre- primary level are also conducted in this old building. The total number of children studying in both these sections is 102 students. As the class-rooms are very congested the teachers in both these sections are facing a lot of problems. The new school building constructed by the Seng Pynryumlang ki Hyntea a registered Women Society is situated on the land allotted by the Village Dorbar. With the completion of this building the L.P section is permanently shifted there. This has greatly helped in easing the congestion and the holding of classes in a smooth and proper manner. The building grant was sanctioned under S.C.A (BADP) for the year 2015-16 by the Border Area Development Department for Rupees Five Lakhs.
Name of the Scheme: Improvement of Playground at PaduBah village .
Sanctioned: Rs. 5.00 lacs.

Padu Bah village is one of the major villages in Amlarem Sub-Division with 255 households and a population of 1396. The playground is wet, muddy and uneven. Therefore the Village Committee after deliberating on this matter decided to construct a cc storm drain running vertically down from one end to the other end of the ground. The purpose is to drain off the water coming out from under the ground and to make the soil dry. The drain is covered by pre-cast slabs, topped by loose soil and the playground is then levelled on all the sides. After the completion of these works the playground became less muddy and free from sludge. It is converted into a standard sized ground and became fit for playing different types of games like football &athletics. It can also be utilized for holding of various programmes,meetings etc.in the village. The project is sanctioned under S.C.A (BADP) for the year 2015-16 at an estimated amount of Rs. 5.00 lakhs.
Name of the Scheme: Improvement of Playground at PaduMawsku village.
Sanctioned: Rs. 4.00 lacs.

The land around where the playground lies are situated some water springs making the soil in the area wet and muddy. Hence, the village committee decided to construct a drain to filter the moisture present in the soil at the playground. After the completion of this drain the soil became dry making the playground suitable for the youths of the village to play their favourite game of football. Even the children and sometimes the elderly men are seen enjoying themselves in playing football. This playground is also utilized for other purposes like holding of meetings, programs, school sports etc. Our Department was able to sanction rupees Four lakhs for this playground.
Name of the Scheme: Improvement of Playground at Padu Khyndong Shnong.
Sanctioned: Rs. 3.00 lacs.

The Village Committee of Padu Khyndong Shnong approached our office for financial assistance for the improvement of the playground in their locality whereby we were able to sanction an amount of Rs.3.00 lakhs. The village Committee constructed a retaining wall for extending the length of the ground which was then filled by soil and rocks. After this the playground was leveled and dressed making it suitable for playing football and other sporting events also. Every evening you can see the ground is filled with youths and children playing their favourite games and sports.
Name of the Scheme: Construction of basket –ball court for L.P School at Padu Shnongpdeng.
Sanctioned: Rs. 3.00 lacs.

The Basket-ball court constructed by the School Managing Committee serves as a playground for the school children and a courtyard for holding of school assembly. As it is located just in front of the school building it also makes the school compound clean and tidy. Beside these benefits this basket-ball will also definitely help in the overall growth of the children. For the benefit of the whole village the S.M.C also allows the other children from the village to play in this basket-ball court after school hours. The total cost of the project is Rupees Three Lakhs and it is sanctioned from the scheme under S.C.A(BADP) , 2015 -16.
Name of the Scheme: Construction of Community Hall at Amlari Rim village.
Sanctioned: Rs. 5.00 lacs.

Amlari Rim village with a population of 117 and 30 odd households does not have a community hall because the village does not have the land required to do so. The Executive Committee of the village decided to approach one wealthy resident of the village to donate a plot of his land for construction of the village Community Hall for the welfare of the entire village. Their request was granted and after getting the land the village elders approached our office and we were able to sanction an amount of Rs .5.00 lakhs to enable them to construct the Community Hall. This hall has greatly benefitted the village and now many community meetings, programmes, trainings etc for the public can be held in this building.
Name of the Scheme: Completion of U.P SchoolBuilding at Amlympiang village.
Sanctioned: Rs. 5.00 lacs.

The project estimate for completion of the school building is rupees five lakhs and is sanctioned under SCA(BADP) for the year 2015-16.
The building from the skeletal framework of only posts and beams has been completed with the construction of three class-rooms. The school which was temporarily functioning from the village Community Hall has been permanently shifted to this new building. The rooms are very big, spacious and well ventilated. Also by having a proper school building the students are protected from the harsh weather conditions prevailing in the border areas. Hence, it is a boon to the 32 children studying in this school who are mostly coming from very poor families .
